Women's Health

Women’s health care is about more than just ob/gyn care. It is important to see a gynecologist for regular screenings, to have pregnancies monitored by an obstetrician and to regularly see a primary care health professional. Women are more prone to certain conditions and for many, doctors don’t understand why. Hormones like estrogen and progesterone may play a role. When these hormones decrease after menopause, a woman’s health risk for certain conditions like heart disease can increase.
