Uterine, Ovarian & Cervical Cancer

Female reproductive cancers include cervical cancer, ovarian cancer and uterine cancer, usually endometrial cancer. HPV vaccines and Pap smear tests help reduce the incidence of cervical cancer. An abnormal Pap smear can indicate changes in the cervix that can be treated before developing into cervical cancer. This may involve a loop electrosurgical excision procedure (LEEP) to remove abnormal cells. Uterine and ovarian cancers are harder to detect because they produce few symptoms. Abnormal vaginal bleeding always warrants a call to your doctor.
