Simple Steps for Creating
Your Patient Guide
Healthy Advice® Hospitals has a two-step editorial process for the creation
of your Patient Guide. Within one week after receiving the signed publishing
agreement, your Business Development Manager will schedule a meeting to review Phase One of the editorial process.
Phase One Delivered in 45 days
You will be given the Phase One Word document that covers the basics of the Guide.
It's a great way to start the process and allows you to complete some of the easier
components to assemble in two weeks, such as:
Cover – Photo, Logo and PMS Color
CEO Letter
Phone Directory
Channel Listing
Healthy Advice Hospitals Editorial
Once we have your files, we will design your Guide. A PDF Pass will be sent for review and approval. You will have up to three passes to make changes to your Guide.
When we receive your Approval* the Guide will be printed and serve as a temporary
guide. We ask the hospital to distribute this Guide to test distribution, aid in the sales
effort and most importantly, give valuable information to the patient. Once Phase One
is approved, we will start Phase Two.
Phase Two 10 weeks to complete
The Phase Two Word document encompasses more detailed information. This is the
Best Practices Patient Guide template, which has a foundation created from over
100 patient guides nationally. It includes: During Your Stay, Patients Rights and
Responsibilities, Advance Directives, Pain Management, Discharge Process and
Resources. You can edit or add information that is specific to your hospital. Once it's designed you will again have up to three passes for changes. We will not print until we receive Approval*. The temporary guide will continue to be printed until Phase Two is in approved.
*Approval - If we have not heard from the hospital within 10 business days
of a PDF Pass, we will consider the Guide approved and ready to go to print. | |
