Aging Definition by Healthwise:
Aging is a normal process of the body, where changes in organ systems and their ability to function occur as a person gets older. Changes in cells and how they mature can affect many systems. Changes in the immune system make wound healing more difficult and infections more common. The skin becomes less elastic and wrinkles, less melanin produced in hair follicles creates gray hair. Hormone levels change and muscles and bones may weaken. Women go through menopause and can no longer bear children. Although many diseases such as heart disease, diabetes and dementia are more common with aging, they are not a natural part of aging.
