Childbirth Definition by Healthwise:
Childbirth is the end of pregnancy where a fetus is delivered from a woman’s uterus. The process of labor has several stages and can take many hours, when a woman’s cervix dilates enough so she can push the baby out through the vagina. In cases where a vaginal delivery is not possible, the baby can be delivered by cesarean section, when it is surgically removed from the uterus.
