  • Make the most of remaining abilities. Reinforce and support the person's efforts to remain independent, even if tasks take more time or aren't done perfectly.
  • Help the person avoid confusion.
  • Understand behavior changes.
  • Manage agitation.
  • Manage wandering.
  • Communicate clearly.
