Children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD or ADD) have problems controlling attentiveness, hyperactivity and impulsivity. ADHD children can go on to have adult ADHD with difficulty concentrating, focusing and completing tasks. Adults with ADHD may have difficulty in school, work and social relationships. Children with ADHD sometimes also have oppositional defiant disorder (ODD), a pattern of persistent negative behavior. Speech disorders include stuttering and delayed speech. Learning disabilities such as dyslexia can affect the ability to read and write.
